So, we recommned this service everytime except when the client needs editing. The vendor Costco utilizes cannot do any editing of the footage like we can. It's a straight transfer which works for most people. If you want editing and a transfer, let us know.
Costco has a brochure for this service in their photo developing department and there is not a web page on their website for some reason. $19.99 for up to two tapes, two hours total on two DVD's. The Video Transfer Hotline is 866.463.7694.

You are right -- it is a straight transfer. YesVideo does not perform editing or customization. We do provide DVD chapter menus, choice of background music (for film and slides), and built-in PC software for very simple editing and sharing on the PC. You can do simple things like capture still images from video and email them, or trim start and end points of video clips and export small files for YouTube. But, like you said, we leave the heavy duty editing and customization to professionals like you. For projects that need captions, special transitions, your own music, etc. we don't recommend our transfer service.
